Who are we
CDE: Catalyst Dance Ensemble is a Christian dance ministry based in San Diego, California.
Our mission
Through the gifts of dance, we intend to be the visualization of worship. As we grow deeper in our relationship with God, we aim to experience freedom and deliverance through dance. Catalyst Dance Ensemble dances for an audience of one: Jesus Christ.

Easter at The Rock Church San Diego 2018
During this amazing collaboration, dancers worked with musicians, set designers, costume and make-up artists, and lighting technicians to help create the vision of the story told by The Rock Church San Diego. Catalyst Dance Ensemble was reborn after this amazing experience.

Ensemble Members and Alumni
Emmalei La Fond Felix
Emmalei La Fond Felix has had a passion for dance since she was eight years old. When she took her first Hip-Hop class she fell in love. She continued to dance at Eveoke Dance Theater in Hip-Hop, Jazz & Modern classes. She was a part of their Youth performing group for many years. She also taught a youth beginners Hip-Hop class at a local Recreation Center for a summer. She took a break from dance when she was 15 years old.
Years later God completely transformed her life through His church and His people. After not dancing for ten years because she got to experience the joy of motherhood. God called her out of a dark season through watching young girls dance. It reignited her passion and reminded her of the gift God had given her. She than began to purse Hip-Hop classes at local studios. She struggled with fueling her passion for dance and Jesus. The popular culture didn’t seem to have a place where she could do both. In August 2016 ABG Dance Ministry was founded and God answered her prayer! She finally had a place where she could use her gifts and passions. She has performed in and out of the Rock Church at dozens of outreach events.
Fast forward to today she is currently still a part of ABG Dance Ministry and has recently joined Catalyst Dance Ensemble. She is excited to see how God will use her to reach and heal people through the gift of dance. In the future she would love to be a part of a faith based non profit that served her community through art and dance. She feels honored to have been able to grow up in San Diego her whole life. She feels blessed that God has given her a husband and sweet daughter to share her world with. When she’s not dancing she’s spending time with them.
